জন্ম ১৫ আগস্ট, কুমিল্লায়। কুমিল্লা ভিক্টোরিয়া কলেজ থেকে উচ্চমাধ্যমিক শেষে চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে কেমেস্ট্রি পড়েছেন। তারপর সুইডেনের স্টকহোম ইউনিভার্সিটি থেকে অর্গানিক কেমেস্ট্রিতে মার্স্টাস এবং পিএইচডি শেষে সুইডিশ কেমিক্যাল সোসাইটির স্কলারশিপ নিয়ে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের ইউনির্ভাসিটি অব প্যানসেলভ্যানিয়ায় (UPenn) পোস্টডক্টরাল গবেষণা করেন। বর্তমানে তিনি আমেরিকার নিউজার্সিতে ফার্মাসিউটিক্যাল ইন্ড্রাস্টিতে সিনিয়র সাইন্টিস্ট হিসেবে কাজ করছেন। লেখালেখির সাথে তার সম্পৃক্ততা বহুদিনের। দেশের জাতীয় দৈনিকগুলোতে নিয়মিত লিখেছেন তিনি। তার অণুপ্রবন্ধের বই “একটা দেশ যেভাবে দাঁড়ায়” পাঠক সমাদৃত। বাংলাদেশের টেকসই, সুষম উন্নয়নের জন্য তিনি তার অভিজ্ঞতা ও দিকনির্দেশনগুলো লেখার মাধ্যমে প্রকাশ করে যাচ্ছেন।
